
Tano North Municipal Assembly Participates in National Sanitation Clean-Up Exercise at Techere
The Tano North Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Pius Opoku, on Saturday, May 23, 2026, joined Otumfuo Brempong Nana Dr. Okoh Agyeman and the people of Techere to commemorate the National Sanitation Clean-Up Exercise.

The exercise brought together residents, assembly members, personnel from the Ministry of Environmental Health, and all security agencies within the municipality in a collective effort to improve environmental cleanliness and promote good sanitation practices in the Techere community.

Residents of Techere actively participated in the clean-up campaign, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Streets, public spaces, and other parts of the community were cleaned during the exercise.

As part of efforts to support sanitation and proper waste management in the community, the Municipal Assembly donated five dustbins to the people of Techere to help maintain cleanliness in the area.

Speaking at the event, the Municipal Assembly commended the people of Techere, the Ministry of Environmental Health, and the security personnel for their dedication and cooperation throughout the exercise.

The sanitation exercise ended successfully at about 11:00 a.m., with participants expressing satisfaction over the outcome of the programme.
