
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Meets NPP Minority Caucus to Strategize on Party Rebuilding and National Accountability
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, met with the party’s Minority Caucus in Parliament to discuss the future direction of the party and national issues affecting Ghanaians.

The meeting focused on charting a clear and strategic path forward for both the party and the country, as the opposition caucus reaffirmed its commitment to rebuilding public confidence, providing credible policy alternatives, and holding the government accountable.

Addressing the caucus, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and evidence-based leadership in strengthening the party’s role both inside and outside Parliament.

According to party officials, the discussions formed part of ongoing efforts by the New Patriotic Party to reorganize and reposition itself ahead of future political engagements while working to restore confidence among supporters and the Ghanaian public.
